Summary

I sprinted through the goblin-filled prairie under the moonlit sky, my black sword, Greed, slashing through their necks as I sought to satisfy an insatiable hunger. The glutton skill activated, enhancing my stats each time I claimed another goblin’s life. Despite defeating over 150 of them, my hunger persisted.

Greed questioned my impatience, and I sought its guidance on how to quell my hunger. The inorganic voice suggested hunting higher-ranked Hobgoblins in the nearby forest. Intrigued, I ventured into the Hobgoblin Forest, where goblins evolved into more formidable adversaries.

There, I encountered a sleeping Hobgoblin Fighter and a Hobgoblin Guard. With precision, I eliminated the guard first, activating the glutton skill and gaining a significant boost in stats. The remaining Hobgoblin Fighter woke up, sensing danger, but it was too late. Greed thrust into its mouth, ending its call for reinforcements.

As I devoured the Hobgoblin Fighter, my satisfaction grew compared to the goblins. Reflecting on my actions, I regretted not heading straight to the Hobgoblins without massacring the lower-ranked creatures. Despite the temporary satiation, the hunger lingered, urging me to continue my hunt in the moonlit forest.

Checking my enhanced status through the appraisal skill, I realized the night was still young, and I continued my relentless pursuit of prey in the shadows of the Hobgoblin Forest.
