Fenrys, a being of demonic origin, shares a sibling bond with Fengaryl, a member of the quartet known as the Heavenly Kings. Upon encountering Flio, she was smitten, ultimately becoming his spouse. Fenrys is perpetually endeavoring to bolster Flio’s assembly with formidable and adept individuals.

Background

Fenrys, with her guileful prowess, often assumed a human guise to deceive adventurers, luring them into escorting her to the Delaveza Forest. Once there, these unsuspecting escorts would fall prey to lurking demons. This strategy led her to encounter Flio and other future party members.

Personality

Fenrys is a staunch believer in the honor of a warrior. She perceived Flio’s mourning over her brother’s accidental death as an affront to her brother’s memory, not understanding that humans generally hold life in higher regard. Initially harboring a deep-seated hatred for humans, her perspective shifted when Flio bested her in combat. Adhering to her clan’s laws, she submitted to the stronger warrior rather than choosing seppuku. Uliminus observed a profound change in Fenrys post-marriage to Flio. Her temperament remained fiery, yet she became more open and relaxed, thanks to their mutual affection. Fenrys is fiercely possessive of Flio, often reacting with hostility towards women showing interest in him. The morning after their first intimate encounter, she was seen with a broad, foolish grin.

Appearance

Original Form:

In her original form, Fenrys appears as a majestic white/silver Fang Wolf.

Human Form:

In her human form, she transforms into a stunning, long-haired demi-human with white/silver hair and striking blue eyes. Her attire typically consists of a pure blueish-white dress that complements her hair.

Plot

Volume 1:

Fenrys first appears as a child-like figure in human form, requesting adventurers to escort her to the Delaveza Forest. She swiftly agrees to Flio’s proposal for escort, leading him and four female knights (Balirossa, Blossom, Belano, and Byleri) into the forest. There, she reveals her true demonic nature and transforms into her original form. In the ensuing battle, she is ultimately defeated by Flio’s overwhelming magical prowess. With her magic depleted, she reverts to her human form and, following Flio’s condition of not harming humans, declares herself his wife. Initially, Flio is skeptical, leading Fenrys to contemplate suicide, but she eventually faints from exhaustion. Awakening in a tent, healed and recuperated, she reaffirms her commitment to Flio, who, after hearing her out, accepts her as his wife and reveals his own origins from another world.

Two weeks later, the pair travels to Klyrode to register Fenrys at the adventurers’ guild under the pseudonym “Rys.” During an emergency quest to subdue a horde of Psychobears, Flio gives her a ring symbolizing marriage in his world, a gesture that fills her with joy. They encounter the four female knights again, surrounded by Psychobears, and Flio dispatches most of the beasts with a single lightning strike. Fenrys proposes adopting the last bear as a pet to strengthen their group, enhancing their prestige. Initially upset that Flio didn’t introduce her as his wife to the knights, she is mollified once he does so and expresses her delight by suggesting he become their instructor. However, she is unimpressed with their initial training performance.

Volume 2:

Fenrys is astonished by the knights’ struggle against a single Psychobear. After moving into an abandoned house, she attempts to cook a celebratory meal for the group, surprising herself with the deliciousness of human food, given her lupine diet of raw meat. Realizing her lack of domestic skills, she takes cooking classes in Klyrode. Despite initial setbacks, she perseveres and eventually impresses the group with her culinary efforts.

Their home frequently attracts unwelcome attention, prompting Fenrys to invite Uliminas, a former colleague, inside. Uliminas acknowledges Flio’s role in her brother’s death but dismisses it as the honor of a warrior’s fate. Despite Uliminas’ flirtatious nature during a sparring match with Flio, Fenrys remains vigilant and supportive.

Throughout various encounters and challenges, Fenrys grows increasingly protective and loyal. She is unfazed by Ghozal’s intimidating presence and remains steadfast in her support of Flio. Her fierce loyalty and warrior spirit continue to define her actions, ensuring her place as a vital and formidable member of Flio’s party.

Fenrys/Relationships

Flio

Fenrys first encountered Flio when she was disguised as a child, attempting to deceive adventurers into escorting her to the Delaveza Forest so that she and other demons could ambush them. Unfortunately, no one trusted her enough to help, until Flio offered his assistance. Balirossa and her team intervened, suspicious of Flio’s claim to use Spatial Magic. Flio teleported everyone to the Delaveza Forest, where Fenrys revealed her true form. He teleported Balirossa and her team to safety before battling Fenrys in her beast form. Flio incapacitated her but refused to use Subjugation, opposing slavery. Fenrys, drained of magic, reverted to her humanoid form and Flio, refusing to kill a surrendered enemy, covered her with his cloak. She passed out, and Flio healed her, leaving a dress that surprisingly fit her perfectly. Upon awakening, Fenrys offered herself as his slave, but Flio revealed his true appearance and rejected the idea for her safety. Desperate, she half-transformed, threatening to end her life if she couldn’t stay with him. Flio relented, allowing her to join his party, leading an overjoyed Fenrys to pounce on him. In town, Flio asked her to call him by his name instead of “master,” and when a grocer mistook them for a married couple, Fenrys happily called him “Darling.” To avoid panic, Flio registered her under the name Rys at the guild.

Balirossa

Initially, Fenrys viewed Balirossa as prey, luring her and her team to Delaveza Forest. However, Flio’s intervention saved them and defeated Fenrys. Later, while hunting Psychobears, Fenrys saw Balirossa outnumbered and told Flio to let the weak perish. However, as Flio intervened, Fenrys followed, finishing off the remaining bears. Balirossa introduced herself as a knight of the capital and asked Flio for training, which Fenrys perceived as a romantic advance. Flio clarified Fenrys was his wife, calming her down and allowing the training. Fenrys observed Balirossa’s weak performance and saved her multiple times, scolding her for acting helpless. When Balirossa overheard Fenrys’s true identity, Flio begged her not to report it. Balirossa, considering Fenrys a friend and teacher, promised to keep the secret.

Blossom

Fenrys initially saw Blossom as prey, attempting to lure her to Delaveza Forest. After Flio saved her and defeated Fenrys, they met again while hunting Psychobears. Fenrys saw Blossom outnumbered and told Flio to let the weak die, but joined in saving her when Flio intervened. Blossom introduced herself as a knight and asked for training, which Fenrys again saw as a romantic gesture. Flio’s clarification of Fenrys being his wife calmed her down, allowing the training. Observing Blossom’s weakness, Fenrys wondered if her muscles were just for show. Upon learning Fenrys’s true identity, Blossom promised not to report her since she wasn’t their enemy.

Byleri

Fenrys initially viewed Byleri as prey, attempting to lure her and her team to Delaveza Forest. After Flio saved them and defeated Fenrys, they met again while hunting Psychobears. Fenrys saw Byleri outnumbered and told Flio to let the weak perish, but followed when Flio intervened. Byleri introduced herself as a knight and asked for training, which Fenrys saw as a romantic advance. Flio clarified Fenrys was his wife, calming her down and allowing the training. Observing Byleri’s weak performance, Fenrys had to save her multiple times and scolded her for being too soft. Upon learning Fenrys’s true identity, Byleri agreed with her leader to keep the secret.

Belano

Fenrys initially saw Belano as prey, luring her and her team to Delaveza Forest. After Flio saved them and defeated Fenrys, they met again while hunting Psychobears. Fenrys saw Belano outnumbered and told Flio to let the weak perish, but followed when Flio intervened. Belano introduced herself as a knight and asked for training, which Fenrys saw as a romantic gesture. Flio clarified Fenrys was his wife, calming her down and allowing the training. Observing Belano’s weak performance, Fenrys had to save her multiple times and scolded her for her low mana capacity. Fenrys was especially protective when Flio gifted Belano a ring that boosted magic, threatening her when she attempted to wear it on her ring finger. When Belano overheard Fenrys’s true identity, she fainted from fear but agreed to keep the secret.
