Rokudenashi, a music project initiated in June 2021 by vocalist Ninzin and various emerging Vocaloid producers, unveiled their latest track titled “Eureka” on April 2, accompanied by a music video on YouTube. The song is currently serving as the closing theme for “Train to the End of the World”. Scheduled for release in Japan on June 19, 2024, the CD single marks the project’s debut in providing an anime theme song.
Mirroring the post-apocalyptic narrative of the anime, “Eureka” delves into the theme of an unresolved farewell to a cherished individual. Both the CD jackets and the music video feature freshly crafted illustrations from the anime.
The original TV anime series “Train to the End of the World” premiered in Japan on April 1, 2024. The first episode, titled “Down the Escalator to Dark Nerima,” is now accessible to Crunchyroll Premium members across North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS regions.
Crunchyroll describes the series:
“In a seemingly ordinary rural town, something peculiar is unfolding among the residents. However, Shizuru Chikura’s primary concern is her missing friend. Determined to locate her, Shizuru, along with three other girls, embarks on an adventure aboard an abandoned train, journeying into the outside world with uncertainty about their return. As they venture into the unknown, the looming question persists: What awaits them at the final destination?”
