Having arrived at the village near Galia, Myne and Fate found themselves facing a significant threat from the encroaching monsters. Determined to investigate further, Fate set his course toward Hausen, only to be astounded by the sight of a castle that seemed unfamiliar. This discovery puzzled him, as he had been under the impression that Seifort was the sole castle in the vicinity. Upon reaching the village, Fate encountered Aaron Barbotos, the village chief, with whom they intended to stay for a while.

Noticing that Aaron was in possession of the holy sword, Fate deduced that he likely held the esteemed title of the holy knight. Greed speculated that Aaron Barbotos could be the guardian of the entire village. Testing Fate’s mettle, Aaron Barbotos proposed a duel, intending to gauge Fate’s abilities. He astutely assessed that Fate was at level 1, boasting over two million in various stats. Engaging in a spirited sword fight, Fate and Aaron Barbotos clashed blades, ultimately culminating in Fate relinquishing his sword. With the outcome of the duel seemingly unfavorable for Fate, he harbored concerns that their stay in the village might be jeopardized due to his loss in the sword fight.

Greed speculated that Aaron Barbotos’s leadership in the village might be attributed to more than mere coincidence. Despite the impending departure the next day, necessitated by Myne’s mission, Fate couldn’t shake off the curiosity about the castle.

Finally, he mustered the courage to question Aaron Barbotos, who revealed a haunting history. Fifteen years prior, Hausen Castle had belonged to Aaron Barbotos until he was forced to leave by royal orders. Tragically, Aaron Barbotos’s son fell victim to an attack while defending the castle from a crowned beast fueled by accumulated aggression. Consequently, Hausen fell into the clutches of the Genesis of Death, now a lich lord, holding Aaron Barbotos’s family captive. Determined to confront this dark chapter, Fate proposed a nighttime expedition to the castle, a venture that Aaron Barbotos willingly joined.
