Netflix Japan’s official Twitter account unveiled a fresh key visual for the upcoming anime adaptation of Rising Impact, derived from Nakaba Suzuki’s Shonen Jump manga series, a golf-themed narrative akin to The Seven Deadly Sins. The key visual showcases the protagonist Gawain Nanaumi and Lancelot Norman alongside other distinct golfers from the series.
Furthermore, the streaming schedule for the anime series was revealed, with the first season set to premiere on Netflix on June 22, followed by the second season on August 6.
Hitoshi Nanba, known for his work on Golden Kamuy, takes the helm as director for the anime adaptation of Rising Impact, while Michihiro Tsuchiya, renowned for Bakuman, contributes as the screenwriter. Kiyotaka Oshiyama, acclaimed for his character designs in Chainsaw Man, leads the character design team, and the music is composed by Masaru Yokoyama, whose works include Yowamushi Pedal and Chihayafuru. Animation production is entrusted to Lay-duce.

Rising Impact, originally penned by Nakaba Suzuki, graced the pages of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from 1998 to 2002, eventually being compiled into 17 tankobon volumes.
The storyline, as described on Shueisha’s official website, revolves around Gawain, a spirited elementary school student residing with his grandfather, who harbors dreams of becoming the world’s finest golfer. His encounter with Kiria Nishino, a seasoned female golfer, ignites his passion for the sport, propelling him to Tokyo in pursuit of his dream to become the world’s preeminent professional golfer. Along the way, he finds himself lodging at Kiria’s residence, marking the beginning of his journey in the world of golf.
