Stardust Telepath, a yuri sci-fi manga by Rasuko Okuma, is making its debut as a live-action TV drama on TV Tokyo’s “Darama Tues!” programming block on June 25, 2024.
Expressing her astonishment and joy, the original manga author, Okuma, remarked, “I never thought that ‘Stardust Telepath’ would be made into a TV drama…I am probably the most surprised. At the same time, I am extremely happy beyond words. I hope I can convey this feeling with ‘Odeko-Pathy’! Whether you are a fan of the original manga or a newcomer to the series, I hope you will enjoy ‘Stardust Telepath’ as it takes a step onto a new stage.”
The main roles in the drama are portrayed by members of the Japanese girl idol group AKB48, who were selected through auditions.
Previously, the TV anime adaptation of Stardust Telepath aired for 12 episodes from October to December 2023. Crunchyroll streamed the anime for its members across various regions, including North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS.

Umika, a sweet yet shy high school girl, dreams of befriending someone from another planet. Her lonely school life takes a cosmic turn when she meets Yu, a transfer student with telepathic abilities who happens to be an alien! As they grow closer, they make a pact to journey into space together. Thus, they embark on building a rocket and making new friends along the way.
