The finale installment of The Eminence in Shadow 2nd Season anime aired on Japan and along there’s talk of a film that will be released theatrically. There’s not much information available in the moment, however The Eminence in Shadow: Lost Echoes was announced as an anime feature and the first teaser image.

The TV anime’s first season is a comedy that features Kazuya Nakanishi as the director, with animation produced from Nexus and aired from October 2022 and February 2023. HIDIVE broadcasts The Eminence in Shadow and tells the story in this way:
Cid isn’t looking to become a flashy hero or a sly villain. He would rather operate within the darkness and control the roiling of society using intelligence and wit. When he is transported to another realm equipped with magical abilities (and an excessive imagination) and he creates Shadow Garden, an underground group that fights against an evil cult he invented. However, while Cid is a sly actor, playing his favourite antihero clichés but he doesn’t know that Shadow Garden’s members take his every falsehood as gospel. And even more disturbingly? This “fake” shadow cult is actual, they’re satisfied that his power fantasies have stopped their quest to gain the ultimate power in the eminence of Shadow!
