WIT Studio has announced an anime remake for the iconic pirate manga, One Piece! The series, titled “The One Piece,” will revisit the East Blue arc from the very beginning. Although the release date is yet to be disclosed, the anime will be accessible for streaming on Netflix.
WIT Studio, renowned for adaptations like Attack on Titan (Seasons 1-3), Spy x Family, and The Ancient Magus’ Bride, is at the helm of this project.
Originally a massively popular manga by Eiichiro Oda, One Piece narrates the adventures of the aspiring pirate Monkey D. Luffy and his crew, the Straw Hat Pirates, as they chase Luffy’s lifelong dream of becoming the King of Pirates. ( Read Also : Delicious in Dungeon Episode 1 Premieres January 4, 2024 )
The enduring anime adaptation by Toei Animation commenced in 1999 and is gearing up for its 21st season scheduled to air from January 2024.
In addition, a live-action series by Netflix premiered in August 2023, featuring Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu Arata as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, and more.
